Today’s network of energy law standards is almost unmanageable in scope. Nevertheless, every regulation can be traced back to one of two systemic decisions: The European-initiated facilitation of competition and the primarily nationally initiated energy transition on the other.
Creating a balance between the two system decisions that is acceptable to all stakeholders remains complicated. This is why legislators are constantly making adjustments. This constantly presents every player in the energy market with new challenges.

We have managed approvals for conventional power plants for decades. Today, we support our clients in developing new generation solutions from wind and PV generation and battery storage to geothermal and biomass cogeneration plants as well as H2ready gas turbines.
The implementation of energy projects is often more complex than the planning. We find solutions when things get stuck in the project.
Joint ventures, partnership agreements, construction contracts, general contractor agreements, management and maintenance contracts, electricity and heat supply contracts, fuel purchase agreements. We are familiar with all contractual challenges.
Many of our clients know the energy industry inside out. We are also on hand when things get difficult in detail or when cross-sectional areas are involved: amortization account, occupational safety, expropriation proceedings, craftsmen’s law, correction factor, commercial tenant electricity, low-voltage products, standardization, technology law, heat pump subsidies. You name it.
We already discussed the use of hydrogen as a drive energy for railroads in 2017, and we are working on setting up a hydrogen filling station network with its own generation division based on renewable energy. The go-ahead for the core network shows the trend for the coming decades. It is exciting to be part of this.
