“Reliable expertise and clear recommendations – your interests are the focus of my advice”
Matthias Grote advises and supports his clients comprehensively on complex issues in commercial and corporate law, real estate law and inheritance law. It is his aim to ensure that his clients’ interests are always optimally protected and to realize clear, pragmatic solutions. This applies to the forward-looking drafting of contracts and notarial deeds, in corporate and real estate transactions and in contentious disputes.
Dear Matthias, what does our promise “To make it simple, but significant” mean to you?
“As a lawyer and notary, it is my job and guiding principle to give clients comfortable, clear recommendations and to explain them in an understandable way. The client can confidently rely on us to do the necessary complicated legal work in the background and always focus on the essentials.”

Focused advice. Precise design. Competent conflict resolution.
Matthias Grote provides legal and notarial advice primarily to medium-sized companies, their shareholders and family offices. The starting point for his legal advice is always an understanding of the commercial dimensions of the client’s concerns. In his communication with clients, Matthias Grote attaches particular importance to transparency and the greatest possible simplicity of the legal solution.
I advise companies and their owners on all aspects of corporate and partnership law. My practice focuses on restructurings within groups of companies, including transformations under the German Transformation Act (UmwG) (mergers, demergers, changes of legal form) and cooperations.
I accompany and organize the sale and purchase of companies or shareholdings as well as the disposal of real estate or heritable building rights.
If necessary, I enforce the interests of my clients in contentious disputes, in particular in contractual disputes and in resolving conflicts between shareholders. It is important to me to act with due vigor and at the same time with a sense of proportion.
I develop tailor-made solutions for entrepreneurs and other private individuals for the transfer of family assets to the next generation or to other suitable successors.
